Vitamin D for Your Eyes

Glaucoma is a disease that gradually reduces your eye’s ability to see. Open-angle glaucoma (OAG) causes you to lose your peripheral vision first as the disease progresses to a more advanced state.

A ground-breaking study found an association with people who had low levels of Vitamin D and open-angle glaucoma. “The findings of this research suggest that vitamin D deficiency should be considered as a potential risk factor for the development of OAG.”

While this is a new finding, Vitamin D has many benefits for your health. Talk to your doctor of chiropractic to insure that you are getting the nutrition you need to be your best.
